It was a tragic scene in Benin City on Saturday night in Benin City, Edo state when generator fume left three people dead.
The victims were two women and a man.

Nigeria - President Muhammadu Buhari’s aide on Social Media matters, Lauretta Onochie, has written an open letter to a co-convener of the Bring Back Our Girls, BBOG group, Aisha Yesufu.
Recall that Mrs. Yesufu had in a video footage she shared on twitter, called for the resignation of President Muhammadu Buhari, citing health issues that have frustrated economic activities in the country.

Nigeria - Personal Assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on Social Media, Lauretta Onochie, on Sunday accused the political elites in Nigeria of travelling to India and Niger Republic to hire soothsayers and Pastors to pray for the death of Buhari.
In a post on her Facebook page, Onochie claimed that those hired, on seeing that their effort to eliminate Buhari spiritually failed, resorted to attacks on the President.

Barcelona has sent out a congratulatory message to Real Madrid, who dethroned them as the champions of the Spain.
The Catalans posted on their official Twitter page: “Congratulations to Real Madrid on winning the 2016-17 La Liga.”

Nigerian Afro pop singer, Ayo Balogun, better known as Wizkid clinched three awards at the 2017 Billboard Music Awards held on Sunday at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
Wizkid received seven nominations in this year’s event, to be the first Nigerian to achieve such a feat. The ‘Ojuelegba’ crooner won three from the nominations.
He won in the “Top Hot 100 song”, “Top R&B song” and “Top R&B Collaboration”.

Bomb blast at Bangkok hospital injures 24 people

A bomb explosion at a hospital in Bangkok has injured 24 people, police in Thailand say.
The blast at Phramongkutklao Hospital, which is popular with retired military officers, happened three years to the day since the military took power in a coup.

CJN Onnoghen says judiciary is under threat

Nigeria - The Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Justice Walter Onnoghen, yesterday raised the alarm that the nation’s judiciary is under threat.
He spoke during a thanksgiving service at the Methodist Church Nigeria, Abuja Diocese, Zone 3.
Justice Onnoghen who thanked God for seeing him through his delayed emergence as the substantive CJN called on Nigerians to pray for the survival of the judiciary.

Again, two-storey building collapses in Lagos State



Nigeria - Barely three days after a three-storey building collapsed at Ilasamaja area of Lagos State, another two-storey building collapsed on Saturday at Ebute-Meta area.
The building, located at Cole Street in Ebute-Meta was under renovation when it collapsed during the heavy downpour of at 2:00 p.m. A woman was said to have escaped death as the building caved in.

Oh dear! Heroin worth $36m seized in Bulgaria



Bulgarian law enforcement authorities have seized 423 kg of heroin at Danube Bridge checkpoint near Vidin at the border with Romania, officials said in Sofia on Sunday.
Georgi Kostov, Director General of the National Customs Agency, said at a press conference that the illicit drug, split into 400 packets, was discovered on Saturday morning in a Bulgarian truck carrying terracotta tiles from Bulgaria to the Netherlands.

Dozens of graduates walked out of Notre Dame University’s commencement exercise on Sunday to protest a speech by U.S. Vice President Mike Pence, who warned graduates of the prestigious Catholic school against suppressing free speech.
The protesters, among the thousands of graduates and guests assembled in the university’s football stadium, stood up when the conservative Republican began his speech and streamed out of the ceremony, to the jeers of some of those who remained.

Oh goodness! Woman inserts one-year-old baby into her vagina



A 31-year old woman was admitted to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center after the 14-month old toddler she was babysitting got stuck in her vaginal cavity, world daily reports.com has reported.
The babysitter, Latifah Brown called the emergency line around 9:30 PM on that fateful night, reporting that she had a baby stuck in her vagina.

Manchester United will only offer manager Jose Mourinho a new deal, if he leads the club back into the Champions League.
The club’s hierarchy were preparing to hand Mourinho a contract extension and pay rise, on the four-year deal he signed when he arrived Old Trafford last summer, when it seemed they would finish in the top four.

Nigeria - The Presidency says the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Babachir Lawal and the Director-General of the National Intelligence Agency, Ambassador Ayo Oke, remain suspended from their offices.
Senior Special Assistant to the Acting President on Media and Publicity, Mr. Laolu Akande, confirmed this in a statement on Sunday.

Mourinho uses youngest Manchester United side to beat Palace 2-0 in EPL



Jose Mourinho named the youngest Manchester United starting 11 in Premier League history, for their last fixture of the season against Crystal Palace at Old Trafford, winning 2-0.
United were already condemned to finish sixth regardless and Mourinho used the opportunity to rest his star players, ahead of Wednesday’s Europa League final against Ajax in Stockholm.

North Korea appears to have launched a ballistic missile from a province north of the capital Pyongyang, the Yonhap news agency reported Sunday, citing the South Korean military.
Military leaders from the South said North Korea “fired an unidentified projectile” from a site in South Pyongan province which flew about 500 kilometres, according to the report.
