Nigeria - The Northern Monitors Forum (NMF) has asked the Chairman of the Senate Committee on FCT, Senator Dino Melaye (APC, Kogi West), to make peace with Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State.
The relationship between Governor Bello and Senator Melaye had since turned sour leading to the ongoing process to recall the senator.

Chairman of the forum, Engineer Sani Dan-Borno, in a statement yesterday, said rather than antagonising and fighting the governor, Melaye should team up with the Kogi governor to better the lot of their people.
“We implore Senator Melaye and all those fighting Governor Bello to sheath their swords and team up with him so that Kogi will be great again.
“It is imperative to understand that the governor encountered serious challenges when he came on board, including an empty treasury, but he never allowed that to weigh him down; rather, it gingered him up to work for the people of Kogi State,” he said.
